The Welder/Fabricator is responsible for cutting, assembling, and welding metal components to meet precise specifications. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to read blueprints, and a commitment to safety and quality. The ideal candidate is dependable, skilled
with various welding techniques, and capable of working independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
– Must pass pre-employment screening (background & drug test if required)
– Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
– Clean background preferred (depending on client requirements)
Job Duties
– Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders
– Measure, cut, and assemble metal materials using hand and power tools
– Perform welding using MIG, TIG, Stick, or Flux-Core processes
– Fabricate components and structures to exact specifications
– Inspect welds to ensure structural integrity and quality standards
– Operate fabrication equipment (grinders, saws, drill presses, etc.)
– Maintain a clean and organized work area
– Follow all safety procedures and company policies at all times
– Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and project managers
– Meet production deadlines while maintaining quality workmanship
Job Requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications
– Minimum 2+ years of welding/fabrication experience (verifiable preferred)
– Proficiency in at least one welding method (MIG, TIG, Stick)
– Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
– Strong understanding of measurements, angles, and tolerances
– Experience with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment
– Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding work
– Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
– Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
– Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation preferred
Preferred Qualifications
– Welding certifications (AWS or equivalent)
– Experience in structural steel, pipe welding, or custom fabrication
– Forklift or heavy equipment operation experience
– Basic math and layout skills
Safety & Work Environment
– Work performed in a shop or industrial setting, occasionally outdoors
– Exposure to heat, sparks, fumes, and loud noise
– Required use of PPE (helmet, gloves, safety glasses, steel-toe boots, etc.)
– Must follow OSHA safety standards and company policies
