Advanced Employment is currently seeking an experienced Pipe Welder for a well-established steel fabrication and industrial company in the Billings area. This position is ideal for highly skilled welders with pipeline, refinery, industrial, or structural welding experience who are confident working in demanding industrial environments.
This role requires strong welding knowledge, attention to detail, blueprint interpretation, and the ability to produce high-quality welds that meet strict industry standards. Candidates should be experienced working with pipe systems, industrial fabrication, and heavy steel materials.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience welding in pipeline, refinery, oilfield, industrial, or fabrication environments and must be comfortable performing precision welds in a fast-paced setting.

Job Duties
– Perform pipe welding on steel and industrial piping systems
– Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, drawings, and fabrication specifications
– Prepare, fit, align, and weld pipe according to project requirements
– Perform high-quality welds while maintaining production and safety standards
– Inspect welds and ensure compliance with company and industry specifications
– Operate welding equipment, grinders, torches, and fabrication tools safely and efficiently
– Assist with layout, fabrication, cutting, and assembly of materials as needed
– Work closely with fabrication teams, supervisors, and shop personnel to complete projects accurately and on schedule
– Maintain clean and organized work areas
– Follow all OSHA and company safety standards at all times
– Work with heavy materials and industrial equipment throughout the day
Job Requirements
Preferred Experience
– Pipeline welding experience strongly preferred
– Refinery welding experience strongly preferred
– Experience working in industrial fabrication environments
– Experience with structural steel and pipe systems
– Ability to pass welding tests and certifications as required
Welding Test Requirements
Qualified candidates may be required to complete or demonstrate experience with:
– Branch-T welding tests
– 2” 6G Super Coupon welding tests
– Pipe welding qualification testing
Candidates should be prepared to discuss prior welding certifications, testing experience, and industrial welding background during the interview process.
Qualifications
– Previous pipe welding experience REQUIRED
