We are seeking an experienced Paralegal with a strong background in Family Law to join a busy legal team on a temporary 12-week assignment. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of recent family law experience and be comfortable managing a high-volume caseload while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and professionalism.
This position requires an individual who can work independently, communicate effectively with clients and attorneys, and handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Job Duties
– Prepare, draft, and review family law documents including petitions, motions, affidavits, parenting plans, financial disclosures, and court filings.
– Maintain case files, organize legal documents, and ensure all records are accurate and up to date.
– Coordinate court dates, deadlines, hearings, mediations, and appointments.
– Communicate professionally with clients, attorneys, courts, and opposing counsel regarding case status and documentation.
– Assist attorneys with trial preparation, discovery, document collection, and case management.
– Draft correspondence, legal notices, and other case-related communications.
– Conduct legal research and gather supporting documentation as needed.
– Monitor deadlines and ensure timely filing of all legal documents.
Job Requirements
– Minimum 3 years of verifiable Family Law Paralegal experience required.
– Strong knowledge of family law procedures, court filings, and legal terminology.
– Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
– Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously.
– Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal case management software.
– Strong written and verbal communication skills.
– Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism.
– Must pass a criminal background check.
– Must pass a pre-employment urinalysis (UA).
