Advanced Employment is currently seeking a dependable and hardworking Carpenter Helper / Siding Installer for a busy custom construction company working on residential and light commercial projects throughout the Billings area and surrounding job sites.
This is a physically active, hands-on construction position ideal for individuals with previous siding, exterior construction, framing, or general carpentry experience. Candidates must be comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions and working on active construction sites throughout the day.
The ideal candidate will have prior siding experience, understand basic construction practices, know how to safely use hand and power tools, and be able to accurately read a tape measure. Reliability, work ethic, and attention to detail are extremely important for this position.
This company is looking for someone dependable, motivated, and experienced in siding and exterior construction work who can step onto a job site ready to work. The ideal candidate understands basic carpentry principles, works safely and efficiently, and takes pride in producing quality work.

Job Duties
– Assist carpenters and siding crews with residential and commercial construction projects
– Install and assist with various types of siding materials and exterior finishes
– Measure, cut, and prepare materials accurately according to project specifications
– Use hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely and efficiently
– Read and accurately use a tape measure throughout the workday
– Assist with layout, material staging, cleanup, and job site organization
– Load, unload, move, and organize construction materials and tools
– Work on ladders, scaffolding, and elevated work areas as needed
– Follow all company safety procedures and construction site regulations
– Support framing, exterior finish work, and additional carpentry tasks as assigned
– Maintain clean and organized work areas
– Communicate effectively with crew members and supervisors on job site needs and project progress
Job Requirements
– Previous siding experience REQUIRED
– Previous construction, carpentry, framing, or exterior work experience preferred
– Ability to accurately read a tape measure REQUIRED
– Tape measure test REQUIRED prior to placement
– Must have own tool belt and basic hand tools REQUIRED
– Strong work ethic and reliable attendance REQUIRED
– Ability to work in physically demanding outdoor environments
– Comfortable lifting, carrying, and handling construction materials throughout the day
– Ability to work independently and as part of a crew
– Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
– Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
Requirements
