Construction Production Manager
The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the scheduling, and materials subcontractors on each project. To Monitor progress through feedback from the field Coordinator. Lay out and manage budgets for each trade. Must ensure that projects are fluid and completed promptly within the budgets. Communications between customers and the subcontractors are VITAL throughout the whole process between all parties. All aspects of the job and documentation are to be notated and updated in the CRM software. The Production Manager reports to the Owner/General Manager
Job Duties
Essential Functions include:
– Produce and Maintain Subcontractor Manual.
– Organize and officiate semi-annual subcontractor meetings.
– Communicating effectively with Colleagues, Subcontractors, Vendors and — Customers.
– Calculating and ordering materials from various vendors
– Recording all progress, notes and communications into the CRM System. -Authority to stop production if unsafe conditions or actions are viewed on the jobsite.
– Authority to Terminate the contractor’s job if the situation calls for said action, such as the subs inability to control quality of the project.
– Authority to interview and hire/fire subcontractors.
Duties and Tasks:
– Organization of all materials and vendors necessary for each trade of each job. -Demonstrating good judgement and decision-making skills.
– Seeking guidance and direction as necessary for performance of duties. -Keeping all owners, sales, and finance informed about the status of work being performed.
– Offering possible solutions for problems that arise.
– Informing the Department Heads of problems and possible problems as early as possible.
– Meet with Trade teams to review the planned schedule.
– Notate scheduled production on the calendar daily.
– Communicate expected dates and times of jobs being performed to Field Coordinator and/or customers
– Dispatch Expeditor for measurements and photos on the projected jobs/trades
– Review Contract, sales notes, insurance report and change orders formulate the complete Scope of Work necessary
– Meet with Subcontractors to review scope of work. Plans, materials, time frames and order of trades to be performed.
– Respecting the confidentiality of Company, Customer and Personnel information.
– Approval of Subcontractors invoices and then submit to the Finance for payments. Must be submitted by the end of business day on Tuesdays for payments on Friday.
– Require and Maintain Subs Insurance and license information so it is constantly current.
– Maintain and submit all required General Contractor licensing for USRR. -Obtain required permits and/or licensing registration(s) from city/county/state building departments as needed.
– Schedule Inspections.
– Help produce production supplements in coordination with Supplement Mngr. -Update Status’ of the stages of each phase of completion of each trade.
Measurements of Performance:
– Measurements will be gauged on whether the job was completed in a timely manner and received a positive review. It is known that we cannot satisfy every person, however, if there are calls regarding lack of consistent communication and/or poor quality of work, multiple complaints, that will be considered a measurement.
– Positive reviews, timely completion.
– Time frames worked from review to ordering of materials, scheduling trades and completing each and all projects expeditiously.
Job Requirements
Education Requirements:
– High School graduate or Equivalent.
– Valid Driver License.
– Some College is preferred but not required
– No Licensing Required
Experience:
– 5 years minimum Construction
– Knowledge of Siding Installation and Roofing Installation as well as repair processes.
– Understanding of insurance Scope of Work reports.
– Understands how to operate computer programs with regards to Scopes of Work.(Xactimate, Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat)
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
– Skilled with communicating with customers and subcontractors.
– Negotiating with subcontractors
– Basic knowledge of Construction Mathematics
– Computer literacy

Physical:
– Ability to lift and load 50# of materials.
– Could be expected to visit job sites.
– Long vehicle trips. Could range up to 150 miles radius.
Mental:
– Ability to manage time and multi-task all jobs scheduled and submit material orders. Communicate effectively with colleagues, subcontractors and customers. English is the first language, however speaking Spanish is a plus with some vendors and subcontractors.
