We are seeking a licensed Insurance Agent to join our growing team. This role focuses on selling and servicing personal and business insurance policies, building long-term client relationships, and delivering exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate is motivated, knowledgeable, and comfortable managing both new sales and existing accounts.
Job Duties
– Sell and service personal lines insurance (auto, home, renters, umbrella, etc.)
– Sell and service commercial/business insurance (general liability, BOPs, workers’ comp, commercial auto, etc.)
– Assess client needs and recommend appropriate coverage solutions
– Generate new business through referrals, leads, and outbound prospecting
– Maintain and grow an existing book of business
– Prepare quotes, bind coverage, and process policy changes and renewals
– Educate clients on coverage options, policy terms, and risk management
– Maintain accurate client records and documentation
– Ensure compliance with state insurance regulations and company guidelines
– Collaborate with carriers and internal team members as needed
Job Requirements
– Active Property & Casualty Insurance License (state-required)
– Experience selling personal and/or commercial insurance preferred
– Strong communication and relationship-building skills
– Sales-oriented mindset with a customer-first approach
– Ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines
– Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
– Proficient with agency management systems and basic computer tools
Preferred Qualifications:
– 2+ years of insurance sales or service experience
– Existing book of business (a plus, not required)
– Commercial lines experience strongly preferred
– CRM or AMS experience
