We are seeking experienced Structural Steel Welders for full-time work involving structural steel erection and fabrication. Candidates must have solid welding experience, understand proper welding procedures, and be comfortable working in an active construction/industrial environment.
Compensation
$22.00 per hour
We are looking for welders who are experienced, dependable, safety-minded, and ready to work. This is not an entry-level welding position; applicants must have applicable welding experience.
Job Duties
– Perform welding associated with structural steel erection
– Weld structural steel components, connections, beams, columns, plates, and related materials
– Perform GMAW, FCAW, SMAW, and MIG welding as required
– Fit, position, align, and secure structural steel components prior to welding
– Read and follow measurements, layouts, welding specifications, and job instructions
– Inspect welds and completed work for quality and accuracy
– Operate welding equipment, grinders, and other common fabrication/erection tools
– Assist with structural steel installation and erection as needed
– Follow all jobsite and welding safety procedures
– Maintain welding equipment and keep work areas organized
Job Requirements
– Previous structural steel welding experience required
– Experience with GMAW, FCAW, SMAW, and MIG welding
– Strong understanding of welding techniques and proper joint preparation
– Ability to produce consistent, quality welds
– Ability to work around structural steel and active erection operations
– Must be physically capable of lifting, carrying, climbing, bending, and working on your feet for extended periods
– Must be comfortable working in a construction/industrial environment
– Dependable with a strong work ethic and good attendance
– Must follow written and verbal instructions
– Safety-conscious and able to work effectively as part of a crew
– No felony convictions
